Oliver Wood is a rare book, photograph and archive dealer based in London. We issue catalogues, both general as well as subject led selections, curate exhibitions of books, and also publish and commission new work. Through these catalogues and exhibitions it is our aim to contribute further research into the history of photography as documented in the photobook. We work closely with our clients both private and institutional, helping to develop and maintain their collections.
We are particularly interested in books which use photographs to carry and convey a clear narrative. Current areas of enquiry include but are not limited to: privately printed books, early photojournalism in print, artists’ books that use photography, propaganda and protest books, British photobooks, archives and documentation. We then aim to group and contextualize these items so that their messages are echoed and amplified through associations and unexpected juxtapositions.
If you have questions about any of the items here, have a specific request, or have items that you would like to sell please contact us.
